The Firefly was mentioned and a good choice. Tom Saunders plays alternate
Thursdays at a place in the Detroit Metro Area -- can't recall the name...

Dear Will,

I don't know if Saunders is still on DJML, but our Detroit friend, Rob
McCallum, will reply to these posts as soon as he reads them. I believe the
bar that Don mentions is Marge's Bar, but Rob has been there and can confirm
that. Yes, alternating Thursdays, so Will, I hope you're there on the right
week.

Rob has also been to the Firefly -- last December when Tom Saunders'
Midwest All-Stars were recording their first CD there. Thanks to the wonders
of technology, I got to listen to parts of the concert via Rob's cell phone.
I'll hear the CD in a few weeks when it comes to Jubilee along with Tom's
band.

Not only does Susan run the Firefly and sing with Paul Keller's group, she
also does a lot of the food prep as well. It takes more than talented
musicians to keep OKOM alive; it takes dedicated, hardworking souls like
Susan who bust their buns to keep the venues open.

More from Rob, I'm sure.
Love and hugs,
Nancy

P.S. Some trivia / fun coincidence: Allan Vaché posted earlier about the
Firefly. Well... the Midwest All-Stars recorded on Dec. 20th, just after
Paul Keller's wife had a little boy on Dec. 16th, which also happens to be
Allan Vaché's birthday. : )
