Dear Friend,

This letter may come to you as a surprise due to the fact that we have not
yet met. I must say that I greatly regret the inconveniences this message
may cause you, I have no intentions of causing you any pain, so I decided to
contact you through this medium, As you read this, I don't want you to feel
sorry for me, because, I believe everyone will die someday. My name is
Hasfat Azzez; I am an Iraqi Kurd. I fled Iraq for Kuwait at the height of
Saddam Hussein’s reign of terror in Iraq. My Husband died as a result of the
bullet wounds he sustained while fighting against Saddam Hussein’s loyalist
in 1994.  My travail started when I was diagnosed with prostate and
esophageal cancer that was discovered very late due to my laxity in caring
for my health. It has defiled all form of medicine and right now, I have
only about a few months to live according to medical experts.

Before my husband's death he was able with the help of some other Iraqis to
freight out of Iraq some money disguised as photographic materials. This box
was lodged with a private security company in Amsterdam Holland for safety
and security reasons.
I have not particularly lived my life so well, as I never really cared for
anyone not even myself but my business. Though we were very rich, we were
never generous with what we have. I am right now full of regret as I have
now come to the realization that there is more to life than just wanting to
have or make all the money in the world. My only son to whom I would have
bequeathed all our wealth, died in a motor accident on one of his business
trips around Kuwait City.
Now that I know my time is near, I have willed and given most of our
property and assets to my friends and extended family members here in Kuwait
City.
I have decided to give a substantial amount to charity organizations in
memory of my husband, as I want this to be one of the last good deeds I will
do on earth. Now that my health has deteriorated so badly, I cannot do all
this my self. I once asked members of my extended family to close one of my
accounts and donate the money to a charity organization in Kuwait City; they
withdrew the money and kept it to themselves. I do not trust them anymore,
as they seem not to be contended with what I have given them.
I want you to help collect the deposit that was lodged with the finance firm
abroad. You are to share this money to charitable organizations and let them
know that it is I, Hasfat Azzez that is making this donation in atonement
for my deeds on earth.
I am writing this from my laptop computer in my hospital bed where I wait
for my time to come. I pray that God uses you to support and assist me.
Please let me know if you will assist me in actualizing this my last wish.
