[Dixielandjazz] RIP Chuck Niles

Long-time jazz disc jockey Chuck Niles died yesterday (Monday, March 15)
in Santa Monica, CA, aged 76.  Niles had suffered a stroke on February
26, which led to his death.

Niles seemed more comfortable styling himself as a bebop DJ, but I
assume many DJMLers knew him or knew of him.  His most recent radio work
was at public station KKJZ [formerly KLON] in Long Beach.

A full obituary is supposed to appear in Wednesday's Los Angeles Times
and, I presume, also in the Long Beach Press Telegram.
