One issue that I don't think has been mentioned, is that you can't simply embed a picture in a page in Word and expect it to load correctly in a web site. You have to upload the image (gif or jpg) to the web site, and insert a reference to it in your html document. With an HTML editing program like DreamWeaver, or even the dreaded FrontPage, the setup simulates your web environment with folders for your images, etc. Then you insert the image into your document from the proper folder, which is mirrored on your actual site. If you simply insert an image from your file system I don't think Word is smart enough to create a link and upload the image with the correct name.

I could be wrong, because I have never tried using Word to create HTML, but that strikes me as an area of likely trouble.
