Dear Pat,
Like you I always wonder about using the word 'live' when applied to
recording a concert or broadcast.
Which is why I always include the 'quotes'.
Dick Hughes, a well-known jazz pianist/journalist mate here in Sydney, once
took me to task for mentioning (on air) "my good friend" so-and-so.
He immediately rang the radio station and asked in his deep voice "Do you
have any 'bad' friends Haesler?"
I rarely use the term 'good friend' anymore.
