Hi Listers,
Child prodigy James Morrison, now 41 was recently featured in the Sydney Morning Herald Magazine June 04. One of Australia's highest paid entertainers and accomplished jazz instrumentalist recently played in New York's Blue Note. US jazz critic Leonard Feather has called Morrison in the Los Angeles Times "the next jazz superstar". And trumpeter Wynton Marsalis has been quoted as saying "Man, James Morrison can play - a great musician!"
James has played alongside such jazz immortals as Dizzy Gillespie, Cab Calloway and Ray Brown. He plays all the brass from piccolo trumpet to the tuba, plus the four saxophones, the piano and the double bass. His love of cars is legendary - having owned "82 the last time I counted," including five Rolls-Royce's, several Ferrari's and pilots his own Piper Chieften to take his band around Australia when not cruising on his boat.
One of the few who has made jazz pay - sickening that anyone should have so much good fortune, isn't it - says the article. And now a Hollywood script writer and actor as well !!

For James 2: James 1 played to a few billion as well for the opening of the Sydney Olympic Games.
