Hello all

My goodness, was I being too subtle in asking "why would the bandleader
mute the clarinets?" I should have added a :-)

I was looking for some clarinet jokes.

First, the BIG question:

Q:  Why are there so few clarinet jokes;
A: Because everybody feels sorry, really sorry, for clarinetists - they
have to live down the invention of the saxophone.

And how about:

Q: Why are clarinetists like dyslexic prophets;
A: Because they are winds blowing in the reed.

And don't forget that Benny Goodman recorded a piece called "Clarinetitis"
- sounds like a disease, doesn't it?

Yes, it's a slow Sunday in July.

Anton
