Having a second or third `take` for any reason, musical or technical is

course acceptable but swapping a good break for a not so good one is
getting
close to misrepresentation.

Pat asked for opinions, so I'll give mine first:

Our recordings, the last few, were done over a weeks performance in a
local club (actually you were there in the club, Pat, when we did the
3rd CD, if you remember!). There are no 3 takes to be had there. We
just play our usual gig, and when we do a week, I try not to repeat too
many songs during the week, just so the band doesn't get bored.

Anyway, as I said, I thought it was fun to "spice up" that particular
song. I could have left it as it was, as it was fine for a live
situation, but maybe a bit long for a record.

We can certainly repeat anything as you're heard on our recordings.
They're live recordings with each guy blending into the other's mikes.

Never thought I was going to get into "moral discussions" over editing!
