[Dixielandjazz] The Hot Club of San Francisco

I attended a very intimate gathering tonight featuring The Hot Club of San
Francisco band, who are in town for a Civic Music concert Friday night.  The
band played what they called "Gypsy Jazz" off and on for about two hours to
about 25 of us gathered in a small room.  Between tunes they took questions
about their music, instruments, etc.

They played lots of Django, Grapelli and Venuti tunes.   Two rhythm guitars,
bass guitar, lead guitar and a fabulous violin player.   It was a great
experience that any musician would enjoy.

If they ever appear near you - go see them.  Talk about swinging in a
groove!
