[Dixielandjazz] Time Keeper -- Drums or Bass

My good friend Dick Cary always insisted that the bass player was
responsible for keeping the time.

Of course, he is talking about pro musicians who all can keep good time
anyway.  But, the bass player rather than the drummer is the time keeper.

I usually found that listening to Dick Cary expound on anything to do with
Jazz was like listening to God.

The only thing that I disagreed with him on was, he liked Pee Wee Russell &
I don't.
