Dear friends,
Today we saw the Stephen Fry film 'Bright Young Things, based on Evelyn
Waugh's book 'Vile Bodies' (1930).
A comedy/drama and highly recommended.
The music soundtrack is great with 1930s period pieces played by a band
credited as The Not So Bright Young Things. Swinging stuff by an arranger
who knows his stuff and musicians who seem to know what it was all about.
The film opens with a spirited "Sing, Sing, Sing"( which sets the tone
throughout) and includes "Runnin' Wild" and some Noel Coward songs.
Also a great cast of Britsh and US actors and some fime cameo performances.
The credits rolled too quickly, I blinked, and I missed the musicians'
names. As one does.
Can anyone help?
I tried Google and the IMDB site without success.
Kind regards,
Bill.
