[Dixielandjazz] FW: dangerous bones!

Fazola told me a story about Julian Lane, one of his old t-bone playing
drinking buddies.
He said Julian was in the front line, and one night he let the slide
slip out of his hand when he went for a note in 6th position. It went
sliding out across the dance floor, and got stepped on by several dancers
before someone rescued it for him. Julian was in no condition to corral it
himself.
