Is the "Screamer" saying something or just babbling in a high pitched
(and maybe loud) voice?

Subject: [Dixielandjazz] High notes in OKOM
I'm wondering what the consensus of opinion is about cornet/trumpet
players
using the extreme high notes ("screamers") in OKOM...I wish that "I"
had
chops like that, buy only so fatigue would never set in.
What was the highest note Bix ever played/recorded? Armstrong's, I
think,
was about high F or G...but did he ever go any higher? In the swing era,
I
know the range was going higher and higher...
Just curious. According to Tommy Loy, Doc Severinson said he made 95% of
his
money under high C...
