[Dixielandjazz] High notes in OKOM

What was the highest note Bix ever played/recorded? Armstrong's, I think,
was about high F or G...but did he ever go any higher? In the swing era, I
know the range was going higher and higher...>

Hi Bob, I think more interesting is WHY trumpet players do it. The flute was
invented to play up there.
No doubt it is difficult to do and very clever but whats the point?
Listening to Ferguson going screaming around the high notes is enough to
make one forget how great a trumpet sounds when played lower.
