Banjos and Bagpipes may both have come from Africa. There is much
evidence of this.

Bagpipes are "thought" to have been used in ancient Egypt. The bagpipe
was the instrument of the Roman infantry.  Bagpipes existed in many
forms in many places around the world. Ditto for banjoes

I note, however, that the Romans, have been proven to play both
instruments before other cultures. Hey, we all know Italy is at the
center of all musical forms, right Tito?. :-) VBG.
