[Dixielandjazz] Smokey Wood(s?) the "Houston Hipster"

Hi all,

I just got an e-mail request for more biographical information on John 
Bryce "Smokey" Wood(s?) AKA "The Houston Hipster" than what shows up on 
a web search. Do any of you have anything that might be useful? I have 
already passed along some information about the 1983 LP issue of his 
music.


BTW, the person requesting the info is Nora Guthrie at the Woody 
Guthrie Archives...
