OK Steve - Here's info on my band's Fat Tuesday gigs that are open to the
public:

Sunday, February 22, 2004 - Party Gras Dixieland Band "Mardi Gras"
performance for all three worship services (8:00 to Noon) at Ankeny First
United Methodist Church in Ankeny, Iowa (a suburb of Des Moines).

I might not throw beads at this one

ALSO,

Tuesday, February 24, 2004 - Party Gras Dixieland Band will perform two
shows (1:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 10:00) at the WinnaVegas Indian Casino in
the Northwest Iowa town of Sloan (near Sioux City). No cover charge.

I may follow Steve's lead and throw beads.

List Mates:

If you are in the Philadelphia PA / Wilmington DE Area on Mardi Gras,
stop by and hear Barbone Street or one of it's clones. Also if in
Washington DC area, the Saturday before, come see us in Rehoboth Beach
DE. We invite you to the following public gigs, (among numerous private
parties) on the following dates.

FEB 21 SAT - Sydney's Jazz Cafe 25 Christian St. Rehoboth Beach, DE
302-227-1339 MARDI GRAS PARTY 9:30 PM till 1:00 AM. Small music Charge
($5 with dinner, $10 drinks only). This is always a FANTASTIC PARTY.
Sidney's also has great dinners & snacks from 7 PM on. One of the top
100 Jazz Nightclubs in the USA according to JAZZIZ MAGAZINE. Yes, we'll
be tossing beads to a large, and very eclectic, crowd of upwardly mobile
youngsters and some older hipsters.

Media PA and West Chester PA IRON HILL BREWERIES from 6:00 PM till 9:00

WEST CHESTER, IHB: I lead the usual suspects, Guitar, Double Bass,
Drums, Trumpet, Trombone, Clarinet, at the West Chester Location, 3 West
Gay Street. 610-738-9600. Come there for beads from the legendary
Barbone Street Jazz Band. Great New Orleans Food and fun. Other Barbone
Street band versions below, if you can't make it to West Chester. No
cover at any location.

Wilmington Riverfront IHB: Band Tex Wyndham leading the Red Lion Jazz
Band aka Barbone Street this night. Piano. Banjo, Bass Sax, Cornet,
Trombone, Clarinet

Newark DE IHB: Al Straub and the Last Chance Jazz Band (Washington DC
area) aka Barbone Street this night. Piano, Bass, Drums, Trumpet,
Trombone, Clarinet.

Media PA, IHB: John McClernan leads The Showboat Casino Jazz Band
(Atlantic City) aka Barbone Street this night. Banjo, Tuba, Drums,
Trumpet, Trombone, Clarinet

Cheers,
Steve Barbone

PS. Every New Orleans Jazz Band in the world should be working for money
somewhere, throwing beads, and kissing the girls on Mardi Gras. As well
as having an enormous amount of fun with a young and appreciative
audience. All it takes is contact with, and a little promotion to, a
venue near you.
