In the experiment known as America, it is an unfortunate fact that
"entitlement" and "freedom" are often, and uselessly, confused.

We are, all of us, "free" to love, hate, disrespect, and generally
disparage anyone we feel like loving, hating, disprecting, and generally
disparaging. To be "entitled" means to have the "legal protection" to
do or receive something. There is no such "legal protection" in place
to love, hate, disrespect, or generally disparage. But we ARE
"entitled" to the "freedom" to think, feel, and express what we want,
within legal parameters. We are, therefore, totally free, via
entitlement as legal members of a constitutional republic, to
disprespect who we want to and when we please to.

Memories of my Philosophy minor do well up....!,
