No, but he had a country pad outside the city and when the spirit moved him,
he would pick up his rifle and shoot a hole or two in the ceiling. Hell of a

I believe that when he played bass with Bird & Diz at what was billed as the
"Greatest Jazz Concert Ever" in Canada a half century or so ago, he hit a
couple of bad notes on one of his solos. They were removed electronically
and correct notes inserted on the recorded album. Perhaps the first time a
record of a "live" performance was doctored. Certainly not the last. :-) VBG
 
I guess it is routinely done now by just about everybody. Too bad, IMO.
