regarding Music Stars, not only in OKOM with great players like Ed Polcer
and his
buddies from the East.

NY and can't draw 300 people in California many times, which drives them
crazy because they can't get a reasonable tour to work on the Left Coast...

Well, Tom and others on this thread,

A band promo idea: Perhaps the bands need to wear uniforms resembling slot
machines since a friend of mine who works at a new casino here in Northern
California told me that they rake in $12 million a day on an average
weekend. Clearly, "live" entertainment out here is not so live as it is
mechanical. AND... The area that used to be used for concerts is now filled
with slot machines so the casino can proudly boast having most slots than
any Reno casino. (Don't people know that slots offer the worst odds for
winning? Apparently not!) Greed and stupidity are proving harmful to live
music out west.
