I was sure it was Maxine Sullivan, too.

Incidentally, there's been a radio commerical floating around Chicago
lately in which a gal singer imitating Peggy Lee sings parts of "Sunny
Side of the Street" using the old Goodman Sextet recording as the
background, with Mel Powell's piano licks being very identifiable.

The music grabbed me so I can't even tell you  who the commercial is
for.   Maybe it's playing in other areas.
