Re the comments of Mr. Mopsick and others.....

Think about it more - jazz is a language.
With skill and understanding of the language any tune can be played as OKOM.
And for Mr. Mopsick's information I have been listening to and writing about
jazz since around 1949.
I also played (poorly) for many years before Dupytrens Contracture over took
over my left hand.
I am well familiar with all the titles he mentions and the bands and have
been listening and studying the music since around 1947-1948.
That doesn't alter the basic truth which is not an original idea - even if
it is new to the DJML - but one that many fine musicians hold and
understand.
