Brian was touring the Birtish Isles with Duke Heitger when he collapsed 
in Inverness, Scotland.
He was put on  life support, but after 24 hours, they realized it was 
hopless. Reports I got indicate the cause of death was a liver disorder. 
Duke was with him when he passed.

He was a solid reedman who I last last saw/heard/spoke with in Princeton 
NJ six or seven years ago with Jim Cullum's band when they were touring. 
Remember wishing I could play like that. He was a wonderful.player who 
left the scene much too young.
