[Dixielandjazz] early Ellington recording.......

The earliest version I've got is from the Fargo, ND, concert on Nov 7,
1940. It's on Jazz Heritage LP 913176A, but I can put it onto a CD if you
want it. 

BTW, I was there when Mr. Schuller conducted the orchestra at the Modern
Jazz Concert in 1957 at Brandeis Univ in Waltham, MA, outside of Boston.
The program included George Russell's "All About Rosie." Harold Shapiro's
"On Green Mountain," Jimmy Giuffre's "Suspensions," Charlie Mingus's
"Reveltations," Milton Babbitt's "All Set," and Gunther's
"Transformation." I've got that LP, too (in case you thought I just had a
good memory).
