Thanks to all of you who read that post and wrote to me off list. Yes,
you are right, I am a believer in the Darwin theory of music. Especially
as it applies to Jazz.  The theory? 1) That jazz or music does evolve
and 2) That the main purpose of playing Jazz is to get girls, or guys,
if you are Judy or Meg.

Perhaps once all the jazz players realize this again, and get back to
playing courting music, Jazz will be #1, like it was when it was sexy
music.
