Hi Mike,
Someone like Edgerton could explain why it happens, but I sometimes have
trouble with Real Audio reconnecting (buffering) during play. I don't know
if it's due to high traffic or what. It varies at different times of day.

Hey! This is a great site for people like me with no jazz collection to
speak of. These shows put together some great material from great musicians.
For example, the show featuring Wild Bill Davison includes clips of him
playing when he was very young (Brett Boyd, our 17-year-old trumpeter should
check that out), plus a 1930 recording of Bill singing "Bald-Headed Woman."
There's even a 1940 clip of Bill playing "On a Blues Kick" -- on a valve
trombone. Fun!

Despite a few skips and errors here and there (like the announcer saying
"Wild Bill DaviDson" for the first five minutes of the show till someone
corrects him), we are fortunate to have access to these classic archives.
