[Dixielandjazz] Joanie Mitchell?

Bobolink asked about an early fifties song, "Let it Happen", and thought
the singer might have been Joanie Mtchell.

I doubt her name was Mitchell, because I think Joanie Mitchell came
along later, and might have been a folk singer.  There was a Joanie
James at that time who had
several hits, none of which I recall, but who was a reasonably
nice-to-listen-to singer.  I might add that she came from the far
southeast side of Chicago, maybe even Calumet City or Hammond, Indiana.
