I'm sorry Tom?
I was not talking about a paid job. The musicians weren't paid
to come and play. They all loved the man whom they were saying goodbye
to and they came willingly from all parts of the country to play for
him.

Well, folks:
If ya want to book way in advance, as they call it in the Pre Need
business.
Saint Gabriel's Celestial Brass Band does do Funerals, albeit very few
for musicians because many of them do not make enough money to afford a
ten to thirteen piece authentic Second line band for the events.
Especially if they come from way out of town or out of the country even.
Transportation and expenses do not come cheap as you all know.
So we have to hang around the Wealthy Crowd, Politicians, Presidents,
CEO's, or heavy Trust Fund kids with large inheritances to throw around,
etc., to get a call for a good paying Going Home Celebration. They can
afford it.
Cheers,
Tom Wiggins
