Hope this is not being redundant, but I think one of the melodic strains
in this song was listed from the classical piece
"Symphonie Espagnol" by Eduard Lalo".

I believe that particular strain coincides with the words, "One night
when the moon was yellow, Conchita met Don Manuelo."

This tune was popular when I was about 8 years old, and everyone in
Chicago was
singing it.
