Dear Ernie,
It is "Skid-Dat-De-Dat" not 'Skid Da de Dat'.
Written by Louis' then wife Lil [Hardin] Armstrong, 
(Hardin) is shown on the original label of Okeh 8436.
It was recorded in Chicago on 16 Nov 1926.
I suggest that there is no specific origin or meaning. 
Just a great blues feature for Louis, Johnny Dodds and Kid Ory with 'scat' lyrics.
