Yes, that was about the best film score of its kind I ever heard; Bob did an
amazing job on it. 

I think it took guts for Richard Gere to play his own solo cornet onscreen,
but I must also point out that  his playing was a weak spot, as we were
being asked to believe that his character was a musician highly respected by
the guys he was sitting in with.  The amateur sound of his playing, however
sincere, didn't stack up.
