Dear Listies

I have followed, with amazement, your thoroughness with regard to the "1919 v. Rifle Rangers" thread.  The depth of knowledge on the list is truly impressive.

Here's a question for you:  We play "Mabel's Dream", a tune that is credited to Ike Smith in 1923 (by the Anderson index).  Who the heck was Mabel?
