And well spent Rob:

This probably puts the ODJB into the proper perspective that most of us have
missed inour haste to praise and or bash them.

They were at the right place at the right time with the right song (s).
As the Dr. John Song says.

Same thing happened with Elvis,

Then it happened again with The Beatles

Michael Jackson,

All the pieces fell into place for everyone involved with their success.

The entrepreneurs dream: Find a Need and Fill it, some Record mogul did
exactly that,

Heck I am still looking for the next one to do it with.

When Rock & Roll lost its mass appeal luster some good old boys from Oklahoma
and other place southward started singing Rock songs in front of a hard
driving country band and wearing Cowboy shirts from Western wear shops. Singing
Rock songs with a Country accent.

Changed Country & Western music forever, now similar to Dixieland, Country
and Western Stars can't seem to buy a live concert tour, but Garth Brooks, and
the new Country guys are still doing very well if and when they want to work.

Showbiz Antics, you bet and they work time and time again, ya gotta entertain
the audience and market it, they are waiting and willing to come shell out
the money to be entertained.

Cheers,

Tom Wiggins
