[Dixielandjazz] The Pineapple Chord

The Ab7 chord in the key of C, or, if you prefer, the bVI7 in any key is
pretty commonly used by the German romantic and post=romantic composers
in serious music.

Never heard it called the Pineapple before, but have heard it referred
to as "The German Chord".  

For a beautiful example of he use of this change in a great popular
song, try "Was I To Blame For Falling In Love With You" by Victor Young,
and magnificenly recroded by Louis Armstrong.  Also, be sure to dig the
Warren Vache recording of this song.  If you don't get the lshivers
listening to his wonderful sound, you ain't human.
