Hi all,

not to exhaust a thread in the name of our many arts, but Carol Doda
became the featured act of the Condor Club where my good friend (and
late Drum General of the Los Trancos Woods Community Marching Band)
Arf Pitney was bartender. His wake was well attended by many noted San
Francisco figures - Carol was there as well;-) Arf once told me he
was working at the Condor the night before the infamous piano thing
happened - the police had all sorts of interesting questions...

Also, I was listening to Public Radio a few days ago and there was a
discussion on artists and painting as an occupation. One of the people
interviewed was the singer Tony Bennett. He started out as a painter,
went to art school and everything - apparently it was not until much
later in his life that he became a professional singer.
http://www.benedettoarts.com is his website for paintings. he is
certainly not a dadaist!

oh, and what about Dodo Marmosa?
