Hi, Jim,
I'm glad you brought up the sides Vic did with Edmond Hall for Blue Note in
the 40s. What wonderful, swinging music!

However, I take issue with your statement
"Vic Dickenson was on more recordings, I believe, than any other jazz
trombonist." I think that honor may go to Tommy Dorsey or Miff Mole, who
played on so many recording sessions in the 1920s and 30s. It's amazing how
often those two guys pop up on some dance band record from that time.
