Dear Bill,
Many thanks for the lead on Pamela Polland.
(We were reading from a handwritten cassette insert. Hence, Pollard.)
I have just spent some interesting time checking Google and the 1995 book 'Jazz
West'.
Found Ms Polland's web site and a reference to her popularity in CA during the
1970s.
I was right about the band. Great SF stuff by the Golden Age Jazz Band of that
time, although not represented in my collection in any way.
Is ""I'm Goin' Away" the only Ms Polland vocal on the Arhoolie LP 4010?
Has it appeared on CD?
There is one track "Down in Honky Tonk Town" on a compilation CD.
Nothing on Worlds Records except an early GAJB CD on Delmark.
There is SO much OKOM out there that we do not know about!
Very kind regards,
Bill.
