[Dixielandjazz] freebies

I will consider any gig, free or otherwise. I try to play as many as
possible. All free gigs are taken with an out clause in case I get a paying
job. I work a lot ( two to six or seven per week). Most (80%+) pay more than
scale.

The last Sunday of every month I do a freebie with John E Dyson Big Band at
Cosmos Cafe. It's a good band. John and a couple of other members are over
80. There is a spirit about this band like no other I've worked. I always
feel better after one of these jobs.

I understand the "money deal". I am definitly "in it for the money". It sure
beats choppin cotton. But, I reserve the right to give it away when and if
it pleases me.

I'm just a bighearted whore.
