Hi Listmates

The earliest recordings were

Ethel Waters    July 28 1925
Viola Bartlette  September 1925
The Five Birmingham Babies 27 October 1925.

Apart from a Jess Stacy cut (rejected) in 1935 there appear to be no other
recordings before 1942 although many bands have recorded the number in more
recent years.
