[Dixielandjazz] Help - 4 valve Sousaphones

If it is in otherwise good shape, and not too expensive you should get
it! 4 valve Sousaphones are rare (and I find my Conn 4 banger to be
the most useful horn I own)
The ringing is probably a loose bracket, collar or hold-down screw and
that can usually be a quick fix at a good brass shop.
If you need a good tuba repair guy there is a tuba/sousaphone
specialist Martin Wilk at "Gabriel's Horn" 1502 South 5th Avenue
Monrovia CA 91016 (shop phone is 626-254-1815) He picks up, repairs and
delivers horns all up and down the California area. I have not had any
work done by him personally but many folks on the TubaEuphonium list
know he does great repairs.
