Began playing piano at age 9 & guitar @ 10.  Took up banjo @ age 22.

Played first professional gig @ age 12.

Formed Dixieland band mid 1960s & formerly named the band "Fulton Street
Jazz Band" in about 1971.  Played piano & led FSJB until aprox 1979.

Helped start the Sacramento Jazz Jubilee in 1973.  Have played for all 30
Jubilees.

Made living playing music from age 17 to 46.  Supported one wife, 3 children
& 2 girlfriends.  Important, wife does not know about girlfriends!

Left FSJB in 1979 when moved to Los Angeles.  There formed the Great Pacific
Jazz Band with Zeke Zarchy tpt & Bob Havens tbn.  Made one recording with
that band.

Produced & hosted Jazz radio show for 16 1/2 years in LA, "Bob Ringwald's
Bourbon Street Parade."

Moved back to Sacramento area in 1995 & rejoined the Fulton Street JB as
sideman in 1998.

Appeared in movie "Twice Upon a Time" as piano player, with daughter in
1998.

Helped reform the Boondockers in 1998.  The Boondockers is a Comedy/Jazz
band.

Have been licensed Amateur (ham) Radio operator with call sign K6YBV since
1957.

Proud father of 3 children including the actress Molly Ringwald.

Currently owner of a vending machine business & playing festivals & other
gigs with Fulton Street & The Boondockers.  Also subbing allot in other
bands including Bob Schulz' Frisco Band, Scott Anthony's Golden Gate Rhythm
Machine, Catsnjamer JB, Blue Street JB & Big Mama Sue.
