There's a major problem with the Miss Lulu White's Red Hot Creole Jazzband CD:
the cornets are so far in the background that they're barely audible. They
pretty much recreate the records, including the warts; MONO not stereo.
"Just gone", which I'm listening to as I write, leaves the clarinet in
front covering almost everything up. Same for "Allligator Hop". Actually,
they have 2 reed players who some interesting stuff, so these are not
totally faithful recreations, and that in small part compensates for the
loss of the cornets. Too bad, though, because otherwise it would be a fine CD.
