[Dixielandjazz] Mike Silverman - Don Gumpert

Hi Paul and list.

I totally agree that the djml is the most appropriate spot for us to
discuss our music and those who have lived and died for it. Mike played
"Saints" more than once. I find comfort in the confidence that he has
joined their numbers.

We have another friend on this list, Don Gumpert, who is another wonderful
trumpet player in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. I understand he is now in
very critical condition. I'd encourage you all to show love and support for
him and his wonderful wife, Sandy in this difficult time for them. Their
email address is dongumpert at cox.net . Send some prayers in that direction
as well.

Many thanks,

Dick
