                  Sacramento Traditional Jazz Society
                               presents:
                               Gary Ryan

June 8, 2003

STJS is pleased to present banjoist extraordinaire, Gary Ryan. From his
early days in Monterey, performing at the world famous Warehouse on
Cannery row, to his 20 years playing the major lounges in Reno and Las
Vegas, Gary has thrilled audiences with his banjo virtuosity and comedic
talent. He has performed and recorded with some of the very best in show
business including Bing Crosby, Dean Martin, and Rosemary Clooney and
for many years was one of the featured entertainers at the Pebble Beach
Golf Tournament in the days of the Bing Crosby/Phil Harris "Clambake."

Opening the show at noon on the Main Stage will be Sacramento's own
well-known Ragtime/Honky-tonk pianist, Al Mariano.

We will also have a celebration of trumpeter Tom King's 92nd birthday.
