Good Times Jazz Concerts Series CONCERT REMINDER:

The New Wolverine Jazz Orchestra from Sydney, Australia will perform  "A
Celebration of the Life and Music of Bix Beiderbecke" THIS THURSDAY, July 31
at the Adventureland Inn & Resort in Altoona as part of my Good Times Jazz
Concerts Series.  I saw them this past weekend at the Bix Beiderbecke
Memorial Jazz Festival in Davenport and they are fantastic.  I can honestly
say that this is a concert not to be missed.

Please encourage school-aged musicians to attend.

I know a lot of "jazz" musicians look down on traditional jazz, but these
guys are world-class musicians and this is a rare opportunity to experience
them up close and personal.

The concert, begins at 7:00 PM in the Adventureland Inn ballroom.  There
will be signs pointing the way.  

You can arrive early, claim your seats at a table in the ballroom then go
down to Adventureland Inn's Garden Restaurant for a pre-show ragtime concert
featuring Rod Biensen.  He starts at 5:30 PM.  Seating for this is very
limited.  If you do get in, please have dinner and a couple of drinks so
A-Land will continue to work with me on these concerts.

There will be a dance floor, cash bar, and souvenirs at the Ballroom
location, which is a non-smoking venue.

Major credit cards accepted.  Tickets will be held at the "Will Call" table
under your name.

Note: Some of the venues on their Midwest USA Tour are charging $25 per
ticket.
