Hi Fra Don,

>Our jazz may not be popular today , but then neither was Mozart in his
>lifetime.

I don't know about that. I think Mozart was quite popular in his day . . .
at least among the classes that counted when it came to "Popular" music.

>So, if we just hang in for about 200 years, we may very well be
>popular again as is Mozart today.

Dixieland today is right now, as popular as Mozart is right now. But that
doesn't say much. Neither Mozart or dixieland is actually what we call
"Popular" today.

>What we need to do is some long term planning. Perhaps we can do a quick
>freeze and emerge in 2200 as the amazing Cryogenic Jazz Band -- our
>slogan..."We don't just play the oldies -- we ARE the oldies!!"

Gadzooks!! What if we awoke in 2200 and discovered the popular music form
of the day was the music of Karlheinz Stockhausen or Steve Reich! "PUT ME
BACK IN THE FREEZER! QUICK!"

Slainte,
