Hi All
          I would like to add my recommendation to those of Bill and 
Brian. If you have a copy of Sam Charter's compilation of information 
about old jazz musicians you would find Brian Wood's work a very 
welcome companion piece. The CD version is particularly handy as a 
reference source.
