Don & Listmates,

While Carter's overall influence & career impact was greater in jazz history, 
Hodges' sound was supreme....in my view.

And, hands down, Hodges sounded more romantic, erotic, and had a "bluer" 
sound...these things count very high in my personal jazz tastes!
