My wife and I are going to be in the New Orleans area (and Baton Rouge)
playing with the Band of the USAF Reserve "Dixie Express" 2 - 8 February and
in our off time we're hoping to catch some music. I'm familiar with the
venues on Bourbon such as Can-Can and Fritzel's as well as Sweet Kathleen's
over a couple of blocks. I asssume these are still operating.

Is the Tin Roof Cafe currently open? We had the pleasure of catching Jack
Maheu playing there with Evan Christopher a while back and it was wonderful.
If there are other "hidden" gems out there, please let me know. Thanks in
advance for the information.

If anyone's interested in catching us I'll gladly share our venue locations
and times. We're mostly playing VA and Children's Hospitals as well as some
shopping malls to stimulate Air Force awareness and give recruiters an
excuse to talk to people. I'll resume my usual lurking stance. I've been a
member of this list almost from the start but we spend so much time on the
road I really have trouble keeping up with the posts much less putting in my
two cents.

It's a pleasure being associated with you folks. Thanks again!
