[Dixielandjazz] James Scott

I've just started to transcribe a 1939 Albert Ammons recording of "Has
Anyone Seen Corrine". In the CD liner notes the composer is listed as James
Scott - would that be the ragtime composer James Scott? As Ammons plays this
piece in Southside Chicago style (lovely stuff!!) it is very far removed
from the usual Scott fare, I was wondering if there is/was another composer
with the same name.
